The DOZIN products are designed and tailored by a prominent Japanese Master Leather Craftsman, Mitsuhiko Abe. With more than 50 years hands on experience in every aspects of the productions, Master Abe, 70, is locally known as a master artisan who has been gaining the reputation as a master craftsman with unmatched experience, innovative style and the eye and touch for fine detail.

Master Abe’s products are designed with uncompromising elegance, produced with top full-grain leather, with unmatched craftsmanship showcased in the most historic shopping retail store in Karuizawa, Nagano, Japan. The establishment of DOZIN retail stored in 1973, is the fulfillment of a dream to produce his own originals.

For the past forty years, Master Abe’s design room and workshop is located on the second floor of his own retail store. This elegant show room, is the only one left in the historic shopping street known as Ginza Dori with its rich history during the Edo Period. It served as a post station town which was one of the five routes of the Edo period, that connected Edo (modern-day Tokyo) to Kyoto in Japan. The designs are meticulous and inventive as such that Master Abe holds number of leather molding patents.
